Another new year, more goals, another birthday this year and for some dreams coming true, yet for others, dreams still on hold and consigned to the New Years resolution list……..again.

So, actually, welcome to the rest of your life!

Speaking of the “New Year” and all those resolutions, now’s the time when everybody is talking about your new ‘goals’ so let’s not do that. Instead, let’s look at last year’s goal. I said “goal” because the overall “goal” is to be a bit better off than we were last year, growing, moving forward, so……..

2017?? Yes, 2017! Can you believe that was five (5) years ago, half a decade ago, but that’s how life goes…..fast!! I can remember when all the computers crashing in the year 2000 was so far away it wasn’t worth thinking about yet. THAT didn’t happen as we now know……….22 years ago. My point? My point is; what were your goals in 2017? Did you achieve them that year? Were you moving forward with life into 2018, or were you in the same place as 2017? Have you moved forward from 2017 to 2022, or are you still in the same place as 2017? Thinking back to even last year; are you where you wanted to be in one year’s time, or are you still back in last year? Most importantly, where do you want to be in Jan 2023? Still where you are now, or would you like to be a few steps forward in life?
Don’t get me wrong here. If you’re happy being where you were and where you are and your Yoga instructor is happy, then all is good and enlightenment has been achieved. You will be happy to continue on your way and the best of luck to you. Should you have any desire to move forward however, NOW is the time to do it. You don’t have to try to do it all at once. If you want to move forward, start from the other end. Write down the end result, then write down the little steps to take along the way with a time frame to complete that step.
Show your plan to your family and friends. I can guarantee they will hold you accountable, because they will usually be the ones telling you that, “your dreaming”. To get you to that result, you only need to take little steps along the way.

This sounds simple,

but it is a powerful medium to get you to that end result

The more little steps you complete, the better you feel and the more you feel like taking more little steps…..suddenly…..you’re at the end result. Now that you know you can do it, try and stop yourself doing it again.
